Investment Process -
Proprietary Quantitative Approach
Atlas Grove Capital's portfolio management team uses a quantitative process comprising of a proprietary quantitative system and a rigorous fundamental approach. The proprietary quantitative system is based on the concept of momentum, which is the tendency of stocks to exhibit persistence in their relative performance over a specific benchmark, with a higher ranking given to persistence of outperformance, as well as lower volatility, and higher profitability relative to specific firm derived metrics. Our experience and research demonstrate that consistent application of our proprietary process could generate alpha over time.
Fundamental Analysis Focus
In addition to our proprietary quantitative system, we believe that fundamentals are as important as the quantitative factor because stocks with improving fundamentals have a history of generating added returns. This additional layer in our process drives our selection criteria, focusing on companies with improving fundamentals and accelerating growth with a focal point on metrics that drive positive stock price behavior.
Risk controls are important to control overall portfolio exposure and avoid typical stock declines when quantitative metrics of an equity conclude. Consistently applying our strategy is designed to outperform over long-time frames on a risk-adjusted basis.
